I love Don Carlos pipes.   This pipe quickly made it into my favorites.

Now you're asking, what the #@&$* is a Dr Grabow doing here?  Funny you should ask.  I needed a meerschaum lined to try some tobacco.  Later I used it as a test case for my novice refinishing skills.

I bought this as part of the JT Cooke Fund.   I have no idea who made it, but I like it.  This one is massive.

One of my first pipes and one of my favorites.  I've had a few Jobey Dansk freehands, but lost one to premature burnout within a month and had one or two stolen.

I just bought this one on eBay and I've smoked it only once.  It's too early to say.

A good smoker.  I bought it on eBay from a picture like this.  When I got it, it had the most horrible scroll work on it.   I managed to resurface it, but found out the reason for the scroll work ........

Not started yet..  Same story as with the first Karl Erik.  *sigh*  No more Karl Eriks from eBay.

Not a bad smoker, but it gurgles.   The draft hole was a touch high too.  I was able to raise the bottom with some "pipe mud", but that hasn't helped the gurgling.

No gurgling here.  This pipe has character.  Bought from the same guy that sold me the 2nd Don Carlos Smooth.

This pipe has never been great for me.  A bit wet.

This pipe has been great.  For whatever reason, I prefer to smoke this one as a first of the day pipe.

Another eBay pipe.  I like this one so far.  A touch small, I've been using it for straight Virginia tobaccos.

My first petersen from eBay.  Just started but so far so good.  The differently designed bit feels just slightly wrong when I puff.

I haven't had great luck with the Autograph series.  They look nice, but seem to foul up on me.  I might as well buy the cheaper ones.

I bought this pipe on eBay for a good price.  It's still breaking in, but I like it so far.

In my opinion, this is a Roma with a flair.   In other words, a good pipe.

I couldn't get my pinky into this pipe when I got it from eBay.  The sides a touch thin, but it smokes well, if a bit hot.
